Supernatural 1.04 Phantom Traveler

So I'm watching "The Phantom Traveler" on TNT and besides my absolute love for the baby!boys (and, you know, Dean in his black boxer-briefs...), I'm just struck at how much prettier the early seasons are from the current one. I would love it if we could get a few episodes with this kind of lighting. The colors are like the Impala. They're crystal and slick, bright flashes of color and highlights with sharp shadows. Like I said it's like the car itself, like it was shot just to emphasis how pretty that car is. And it goes so well with the overall feel of Supernatural. I love it.

And, you know, Dean's boxer-briefs.

Edit: Bloody Mary. Also one of my favorite episodes in terms of prettiness. Got a question, however: Why is Sam carrying all of Dean's cash? =D Oh, yeah, sure Dean doesn't like handing over pieces of control...

In the beginning of Bloody Mary, Sam and Dean go to check out the corpse of BM's first victim in the episode. They have to bribe the ME guy because he won't let them in. Sam gives the guy a $100 and Dean gets pissed. "I earned that money!" and Sam's all, "you won it in a poker game" while Dean does a 'yeah, and what's your point?' look. So Sam was holding Dean's cash. And freely handing it out. xD

That's a great point. In fact, does Sammy EVER make the money??? Maybe he's the one setting up the fraudulent credit cards. And if that's true then...why does he needs Dean's cash? Why, yard sales! Stripper tipping! And of course....Bribes.

Sam also hustles pool and all that. He probably does the same things that Dean does, just using different strategies.
