ZOMG, BB, I got S1 on blu-ray for Christmas, and this whole thread just reminded me of how I need to watch it NOW. S1 and S2 are by far the best - for the lighting, for the music (both the use of rock n roll as an integral part of the eps AND the score [the score drives me NUTS now, so dramatic, so over the top, like the directors are saying we aren't sure you're getting what you're supposed to be feeling right now so we'll shove the mood down your throat, ugh]), FOR THE OTP!!!!! FOR DEAN SLEEPING HALF NAKED INSTEAD OF FULLY CLOTHED (I get it, I get it, it's all about how secure he doesn't feel, but still - let's get him on the path to mental well-being so he can start sleeping in boxers and a t-shirt again, yeah?) Sniffles. I miss Kim Manners so much, because I'm pretty sure that HE was the Showrunner, ya know? It just hasn't been the same since.
